Riverside Regional Medical Center has an labor pool opening for an EMT. Qualified candidate will work under the supervision of the department manager, supervisor and the Online Medical Director. Will be responsible for providing quality care in transporting patients from/to RRMC to/from other outlying facilities not requiring 911 assistance. In addition, must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient served. Must also possess the ability to collect data reflective of the patients status and assist with the interpretation of appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to age specific needs as described in the departmental policy and procedure guide. Must be a confident leader who can accept the challenge and responsibility entailed. Must be able to function independently to high level of care within a structured environment that is constantly changing. Requires successful completion of a Virginia or National Registry Paramedic or EMT-I Training Course and successful completion of the Emergency Vehicle Operations Class. Required EMT-I, EMT-P, EVOC. Minimum of one to three years of field experience preferred.
